Now in its 16th year, The Superyacht Cup is the longest running superyacht regatta in Europe and the Mediterranean. The event has become a favourite with owners, friends and captains around the world that visit Palma de Mallorca annually for the 4 day Palma edition of the Superyacht Cup. Famed for its central location and reliable wind conditions in the Bay of Palma, the Superyacht Cup provides an ideal combination of professionally managed racing with a relaxed and fun atmosphere ashore.
The prominent Real Club Nautico Palma (RCNP) has signed an agreement with the Superyacht Cup to become the host yacht club of this popular race for 2012, offering the on-water management. RCNP have many years of experience of running large international regattas and their waterfront club house and facilities are very close to the SYC village. RCNP are offering all SYC yachts the opportunity to book berths in their marina prior to and following the regatta including special access to the club for owners and their guests.
The Real Club Nautico Yacht Club is situated at the heart of the Bay of Palma. Perfectly protected from the winds and storms, it offers its visitors exemplary safety. 10 km by motorway from the Son Sant Joan international airport, 3 km from the Port of Palma, and situated in the middle of the Paseo Marítimo, the Club has pedestrian access to the centre of the City and immediate connection to the network of land communications on the Island.
Its strategic position also allows for speedy access to taxis, buses, trains, car rental companies, shops, cinemas, theatres, ships chandlers, bars, restaurants, discos, etc. The Club is thus an ideal maritime venue for maritime connections with neighbouring islands and the most important ports of the Balearic archipelago.
